WhatsApp Business API Conversation Pricing is Changing!

Effective August 1, 2024, updates will be made to the pricing of marketing and utility conversations on the WhatsApp Business API.

To encourage businesses to move their post-purchase customer journeys to WhatsApp and to stay competitive with other channels, there will be a discount on utility conversation charges starting from August 1, 2024.

Marketing conversation charges will be updated in certain markets starting from October 1, 2024. This update will reflect the value and demand of marketing messages.

Updates to Rate Cards

Starting August 1, 2024, we are updating rates for marketing and utility conversations on our platform.

  • Utility conversation rates — Effective August 1, 2024, we are lowering rates to be competitive with alternative channels and encourage businesses to bring more end-to-end post-purchase customer journeys to WhatsApp.
  • Marketing conversation rates — Effective October 1, 2024, we are updating rates in specific markets as part of more frequent updates to rates to reflect demand and the value marketing messages deliver.

Moving forward, we may update rates more frequently, up to quarterly. Per our Terms of Service, you will always have at least 30-day notice of any updates to our rate cards.

Updated rate cards are below. Please note that rate cards above will remain our effective rates; rate cards below highlight updates to rates, which will become effective on dates highlighted in this section.
